Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted

Matthew 5. 4

& services of thanksgiving for life

Your loved one deserves dignity in death as in life. Whether they considered themselves 'religious' or not, every person in England is entitled to have their funeral in their parish church or the services of their parish priest at the crematorium. (Enter your postcode here to see which parish is yours).

We will walk with you in your grief. We pray for the departed at mass before and after the funeral, and also at our monthly requiem (the first Tuesday of each month at 7.00pm). Each year at the beginning of November, those who have been bereaved are invited to remember their dead at the All Souls mass

Fr Neil is available to listen to anyone who has been bereaved recently or is struggling with grief. Just get in touch

In brief

  • every person in England can have their funeral at their parish church, or their parish priest will take the funeral at the crematorium

  • your loved one need not have been 'religious'; we will honour the person as he or she was

  • in a funeral service, we commend the departed to God's eternal care and ourselves to God's compassion
